QTool has been, and is being, used successfully in several projects and research studies run by researchers in the Patient-centred Outcomes Research (PCOR) team based at St. James's University Hospital, Leeds.

Two clinical trials being run by Leeds Institute for Clinical Trials Research (LICTR) are also using QTool for PROMS data collection.

In addition, QTool has been used in a project run by the Greater Manchester Cancer Vanguard, to look at the evaluation of a decision-making support package to enhance shared decision making in progressing cancer.

Further studies using QTool are in set-up and include the collection of PROMS data by the Dept. of Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) and in routine clinical care in Oncology within Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT).
